Sarum House B&B is a luxury, 4* Visit Wales Accredited Georgian Townhouse in the centre of this historic market town. It is Grade II listed and provides 3 individually styled and furnished luxury rooms, all of which are en-suite. With private parking for our guests, we are situated just a two minute walk from the historic Ruthin Castle Hotel. Indeed, our centre of town location means that you can leave your car safely parked and enjoy all of Ruthin's bars and restaurants without the worry or expense of taxis or long walks home!
A full Welsh breakfast is of course included in the price of your stay with us. Our menu offers fruit and home made muesli, and we are proud to use locally sourced ingredients, including bacon and sausage from John Jones Butchers, free range eggs from Clyttir Farm and yoghurts from Llandyrnog, accompanied by Helen's home made soda bread which always goes down a treat! We are equally proud to hold the highest score for Food preparation and Hygiene practice awarded by the Food Standards Agency. Vegetarian options are always available.
Our three rooms are named to reflect local history and culture. Our grandest room is named Glyndwr in celebration of Owain Glyndwr, the Welsh leader closely associated with Ruthin in the 1400's. Llywelyn is named after Prince Llywelyn, the last native born Prince of Wales, and Dwynwen is named after Saint Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers, (similar to St Valentine). Guests are warmly invited to take advantage of our garden, perhaps for a cup of tea/coffee on the terrace or just to admire the views of the Clwydian Hills.
Our aim is to make our guests' stay as enjoyable as possible, as our reviews on trip advisor will attest to.
We have a range of maps detailing local walks, and can advise guests on a host of local attractions to visit.
We welcome cyclists and have washing facilities for bikes and safe storage facilities.
